Checking In

Can’t believe fall semester is already past the half-way point and it’s already November! 2010 is winding up. Just a few bullet points:

– Even though I spent 6 weeks out of the office this semester, I’m zeroing in on 1000 miles for bike commuting this calendar year. With just under 2 months to go, by Odometer is reading 930 miles.

– We’re putting together an energy efficiency research center here at Boise State, very exciting!

– State government officials here in Idaho are starting to pay attention to energy issues. I’m optimistic.

– We’ve had a glorious fall, weather-wise. Bright sun, mild temperatures, little rain.

– Working on the update of the GHG inventory for campus. Estimating the carbon footprint of the commute sucks!
